 This shit happens to me all the time, and usually from those that haven't even shown that they looked at my profile, so am suspecting a lot of it comes from the site trying to drum up interests and business. The problem is that it only pisses me off that much more, so if some of the flirts and Hotlists were for real, sorry there ladies, it's just too unbelievable at times. I'm with you Lala on pretty much all of what you said, if they do do this, for crists sake at least put some sort of comprehensible message along with it to make me believe it's for real!!

 I never have understood the flirt thing. what is the purpose. I have received a few actually decent messages but most are of the..."you want to meet" "would like to **** you variety. Delete, delete delete. I'm not really here looking to meet anyone but if I were...they should wouldn't make an impression...well I guess they kind of would. amp;

I used to reply "thanks, I am flattered but I'm straight" but that didn't stop them from messaging me back asking me to reconsider. Now, I just ignore those messages.

 I personally think flirting is a good thing, but in saying that not many know how to flirt. And as for messages there are some that can and do know how to send a nice message and then there are others that just makes me shake my fucking head and saying WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS....Happy Hump Day hun..

I have a huge pet peeve with the messages that are just "hi".

I got a message this week...and I deleted it because I just didn't know how the hell to answer it, and if I did it would have been really confrontational...

I don't remember exactly what it said...but something to the effect that I was "asking for too much" (oh, and he misspelled "too") and "not offering enough", and "sweetie" you should "update your profile". No fucking idea.

Oh. And that's another thing...the ones that use pet names...sweetie, beautiful, honey...and we've never ever had a conversation. Only someone I know gets to use a pet name...

 I get those "wish I was closer" statements. Just what I need. Another person with no intentions of following through on anything living closer to me. It's not like there aren't already plenty around here.
It also seems lately most of the emails I get are ones that leave me shaking my head and wondering WTF they mean and how the hell am I supposed to answer? Especially if I don't want to come off sounding like a bitch.
